Alexandra Miller, CPA
Alex graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in Management and Accounting. She has been the owner of Alexandra L. Miller, CPA, P.C. since 1999. An active voice in the profession, Alex is a past national president of the American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA) and has been involved with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Women's Initiatives Executive Committee, the Accounting and Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA), the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA) and the National Association for Women in Construction (NAWIC). She is also a member of the Professional Advisory Committee for the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA.) She recently served as the president of the board of directors for the international collegiate accounting, finance, business analytics or digital technology organization Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) and is currently a member of their Professional Partners.
Joan Schwer
Joan is an Advanced Desktop Certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor with over 25 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, and is the head of our accounting department. She has been with our firm since 2006. She has extensive experience in sales tax, payroll reporting, audit preparation, new business set up, assessing internal controls, and helping clients with training for various accounting clean up projects. She is also active on the Pima Community College Accounting Advisory Committee.
